I set up this blog as a way to keep a record of all the recipes I create (and share some of my Nanna's gems) , so that I can pass them on to my children and also to share them you lovely lot!

Many moons ago in the year of my birth, my Nanna decided to write out a collection of the recipes that she had gathered as a way to pass the time whilst she and my Pop were living in Burma. All the recipes are dated, location gathered and the names of who she got them from are listed next to the recipe. In time this collection was copied and each of her children was given copy. I received my copy for my 21st birthday, It was a total surprise to get and is now one of my most treasured possessions.

It wasn't until after a conversation had with a wonderful lady, that I realised just how important writing this blog is to me, along with being a great way to follow in my Nanna's footsteps and pass on/share the knowledge that I have with you all, while leaving a legacy for my children.

I hope that you enjoy creating delicious food following the recipes that I post.
